Flow in my life does not come easily or naturally and is something I am continually working on whenever I am conscious of it. I have spent the majority of my life very organised, logical, structured, rigid, controlled and this I have applied to all areas of my self, friends, family and even in the search for the Divine. I wouldn’t say there is anything wrong with this approach but it has taken me only so far in life, and to go further I now need to include the flip side of the coin … disorganised, illogical, shapelessness, fluid and letting go.
Bringing flow into life is a great start for the process of rewilding oneself. To act more spontaneous to everyday situations and to bring into awareness the automatic responses that are subconsciously programmed into our mind and body. To be able to flow around life’s obstacles and through challenges instead of getting bogged down by them. To be unafraid of change and to embrace this only constant in life. To have the courage to let go of anything holding us back from the desired self and not care what anyone else thinks. If you are not living the life you want, it is not impossible to attain, why not try including the flip-side to the life you are currently living and see what happens.
This desire for radical change is nothing new and has been practiced by initiates for time immortal. Alchemy is the process of transforming base metals into gold, a metaphor for the internal transmutation from one form into another, from the caterpillar to the butterfly. Although it would be extremely convenient, this does not happen by simply attaching wings. The caterpillar has to fearlessly die to itself, have the courage to lose the facade of who it thinks it is, not care what other caterpillars think of it, and literally become an entirely new creation, utterly beautiful and Divine. All within a single lifetime.
